A hidden gem in the heart of Rome near the Villa Borghese, Villa Roma is a sumptuous historic estate. The history of the property began just before the outbreak of the First World War. The idea to build this architectural beauty was conceived by an engineer, Adolfo Sebastiani, in the 1910s. Villa Roma subsequently became the principal residence of a wealthy Italian noble family for several decades. Today, the Villa has been carefully renovated, preserving its external and internal structure as well as the historic elements of the décor. Behind the historic 1920s façade lie more than 1,000 m2 of marble, semi-precious stone surfaces, including rare amethyst wall panels from Madagascar and the Urals, and an extensive art collection.
